Description

This Raspberry Walnut Baked Brie is an elegant and simple appetizer featuring creamy brie cheese topped with sweet raspberry preserves and crunchy walnuts, all baked to melty perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) round Brie cheese
  • 3 tablespoons raspberry preserves
  • 3 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Slice the round of Brie in half horizontally so you have two rounds.
  3. Spread raspberry preserves on the cut side of one round, and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
  4. Place the other round on top, cut side down, to sandwich the filling.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry and place the brie sandwich in the center. Fold the pastry around the cheese, sealing the edges.
  6. Beat the egg with 1 tablespoon of water and brush over the pastry to glaze.
  7. Place the wrapped brie on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 20 to 25 minutes.
  9. Let sit 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute pecans or almonds for walnuts if desired.
  • Serve with crackers, apple slices, or fresh baguette.
  • Chill the Brie slightly before slicing to make it easier to cut cleanly.
