Description
This Raspberry Walnut Baked Brie is an elegant and simple appetizer featuring creamy brie cheese topped with sweet raspberry preserves and crunchy walnuts, all baked to melty perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 (8 ounce) round Brie cheese
- 3 tablespoons raspberry preserves
- 3 tablespoons chopped walnuts
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Slice the round of Brie in half horizontally so you have two rounds.
- Spread raspberry preserves on the cut side of one round, and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
- Place the other round on top, cut side down, to sandwich the filling.
- Roll out the puff pastry and place the brie sandwich in the center. Fold the pastry around the cheese, sealing the edges.
- Beat the egg with 1 tablespoon of water and brush over the pastry to glaze.
- Place the wrapped brie on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 20 to 25 minutes.
- Let sit 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute pecans or almonds for walnuts if desired.
- Serve with crackers, apple slices, or fresh baguette.
- Chill the Brie slightly before slicing to make it easier to cut cleanly.
