Description
These rich and fudgy Reese’s Brownies are loaded with chocolate and peanut butter flavor, featuring a boxed brownie base topped with a creamy peanut butter layer and a rich chocolate ganache.
Ingredients
- 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on box, usually water, oil, and eggs)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (for ganache)
- Reese’s Minis or chopped Reese’s (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare the brownie batter according to the package instructions.
- Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and bake as directed. Let cool completely.
- In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup peanut butter, melted butter, powdered sugar, and milk. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the cooled brownies. Refrigerate for 1 hour to set.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and 1/2 cup peanut butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
- Spread the chocolate ganache evenly over the peanut butter layer.
- Optionally, top with Reese’s Minis or chopped Reese’s.
- Refrigerate again for at least 30 minutes or until set. Slice and serve.
Notes
- Allow each layer to fully set before adding the next for best results.
- Store brownies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
- Use creamy peanut butter for a smooth texture, or crunchy for added texture.
