Description

A refreshing and naturally sweet drink made with ripe peaches and tangy lemon juice, perfect for hot summer days.


Ingredients

4 ripe peaches, peeled and pitted

1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 46 lemons)

1/4 cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)

4 cups cold water

Ice cubes

Lemon slices and peach wedges for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the peeled and pitted peaches with 1 cup of water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Pour the peach puree through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a large pitcher to strain out the pulp. Discard the solids.
  3. Add the fresh lemon juice and honey (or sugar) to the peach juice, stirring until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
  4. Add the remaining 3 cups of cold water and mix well.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary. You can add more honey or sugar for a sweeter flavor.
  6. Refrigerate the peach lemonade for at least 1 hour to chill before serving.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and peach wedges for a refreshing touch.

Notes

  1. For a minty twist, add a handful of fresh mint leaves before blending.
  2. For a fizzy version, substitute water with sparkling water or club soda.
  3. To make an alcoholic version, add a splash of vodka, rum, or bourbon.
  4. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  5. For less sweetness, reduce honey or sugar and balance with more lemon juice.
  6. You can use frozen peaches; just thaw them before blending.
