Ingredients
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup peanut butter (chunky preferred)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine the corn syrup and powdered sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla extract until smooth and fully combined.
- Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal, mixing until all the cereal is evenly coated with the peanut butter mixture.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly until it is comfortable to handle.
- Using your hands, shape the mixture into small balls about 1 inch in diameter and place them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper or a silicone mat.
- Let the peanut butter balls cool completely at room temperature until firm, then transfer them to an airtight container for storage.
Notes
- If the mixture becomes too sticky to handle, lightly grease your hands with a small amount of butter or oil.
- Store the peanut butter balls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
- For extra flavor, drizzle melted chocolate over the finished balls.
- These treats can also be refrigerated to help them set faster.
