Description
A refreshing, aromatic cocktail featuring the bright flavors of lemon and the earthy notes of rosemary, perfect for brunches or festive gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary, plus more for garnish
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 4 lemons)
- 1 cup vodka
- 2 cups sparkling water or club soda, chilled
- Ice
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and rosemary sprigs. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes until the sugar has dissolved and the rosemary is fragrant.
- Remove the syrup from heat and let it cool. Once cooled, strain out the rosemary.
- In a large pitcher, combine the rosemary syrup, lemon juice, and vodka. Stir well to combine.
- When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the lemon-vodka mixture about halfway up.
- Top with sparkling water or club soda and stir gently.
- Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and serve immediately.
Notes
- Make the rosemary syrup ahead of time and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- Adjust the sweetness by altering the amount of syrup used per glass.
- Can be made non-alcoholic by omitting the vodka and adding more sparkling water.
