Description

A refreshing, aromatic cocktail featuring the bright flavors of lemon and the earthy notes of rosemary, perfect for brunches or festive gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary, plus more for garnish
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 4 lemons)
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 2 cups sparkling water or club soda, chilled
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and rosemary sprigs. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes until the sugar has dissolved and the rosemary is fragrant.
  2. Remove the syrup from heat and let it cool. Once cooled, strain out the rosemary.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the rosemary syrup, lemon juice, and vodka. Stir well to combine.
  4. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the lemon-vodka mixture about halfway up.
  5. Top with sparkling water or club soda and stir gently.
  6. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Make the rosemary syrup ahead of time and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • Adjust the sweetness by altering the amount of syrup used per glass.
  • Can be made non-alcoholic by omitting the vodka and adding more sparkling water.
