These Salted Caramel Brownie Bites are rich, fudgy mini brownies topped with gooey caramel and a sprinkle of sea salt. Perfect for parties or an indulgent treat, they combine the irresistible flavors of chocolate and caramel in bite-sized form.
Ingredients
- 1 (18-ounce) box brownie mix
- Water, vegetable oil, and eggs (as called for on the brownie mix box)
- 1 (11-ounce) bag Kraft Caramel Bits or unwrapped soft caramels
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- Coarse sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a mini muffin pan.
- Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions.
- Scoop the brownie batter into the mini muffin pan, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the tops are set and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Allow brownie bites to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then use the end of a wooden spoon or your thumb to make an indentation in the center of each.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the caramel bits and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until smooth and melted.
- Spoon the melted caramel into the indentations of each brownie bite.
- Sprinkle each caramel-filled brownie with a pinch of coarse sea salt.
- Let cool completely before removing from the pan and serving.
Notes
- Use a silicone mini muffin pan or line metal pans for easier removal.
- You can substitute regular caramels if caramel bits are unavailable; just unwrap and melt with cream.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
