Ingredients
- 1 lb ground Italian sausage
- 1 tube (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza crust dough
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
- Marinara sauce (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease and allow to cool slightly.
- Roll out the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.
- Evenly spread the cooked sausage over the dough, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly over the sausage. Add garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
- Carefully roll the dough tightly into a log, pinching the seams and ends to seal.
- Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with beaten egg.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm with marinara sauce.
