Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (30 oz) package frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  3. Reduce heat to low and add cream cheese to the sausage. Stir until melted and combined. Remove from heat.
  4. In a large bowl, combine hash browns, shredded cheddar cheese, and the sausage-cream cheese mixture. Spread evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour evenly over the hash brown mixture.
  6. Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
