Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (30 oz) bag frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with olive oil or butter.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  3. Spread the thawed hash browns evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Layer the cooked sausage over the hash browns, then sprinkle shredded cheese evenly on top.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the casserole.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden.
  8. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
