Description

Sausage French Toast Roll-Ups are a fun and delicious breakfast made with savory breakfast sausage links wrapped in flattened sandwich bread, dipped in a cinnamon-vanilla egg mixture, and pan-fried to golden perfection.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices white sandwich bread, crusts removed
  • 8 breakfast sausage links, cooked
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for cooking)
  • Maple syrup, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the sausage links according to package directions and set aside.
  2. Trim the crusts off the bread slices and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.
  3. Place one sausage link on one edge of each bread slice and roll tightly.
  4. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar.
  5. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture, coating all sides evenly.
  7. Place roll-ups seam-side down in the skillet and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  8. Remove from heat and serve warm with maple syrup.

Notes

  • Make sure the bread is flattened well to prevent unrolling while cooking.
  • You can secure roll-ups with toothpicks while cooking if needed; remove before serving.
  • Try sprinkling with powdered sugar for extra sweetness.
  • These can be made ahead and reheated in the oven or air fryer.
