Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 lb breakfast sausage (or any ground sausage)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Evenly spread the raw sausage over half of the puff pastry sheet.
  4. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the sausage layer.
  5. Fold the puff pastry sheet over to cover the filling, pressing lightly to seal.
