Description
A quick and flavorful shrimp scampi recipe made in just 16 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights, this dish combines juicy shrimp, garlic, lemon, and butter, served over pasta for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Linguine
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) Butter
- 4 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 pound Large Shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 Lemon, zested and juiced
- 1/2 cup Dry White Wine (or Chicken Broth)
- Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the linguine in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- Add the remaining butter and olive oil to the skillet. Stir in garlic and red pepper flakes and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the wine (or chicken broth) and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked linguine and lemon zest. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

- You can substitute chicken broth for wine for a non-alcoholic version.
