Description

These Maple Vanilla Baked Pears are a simple yet elegant dessert made with ripe pears, maple syrup, and warm vanilla. Baked until tender and caramelized, they’re perfect for fall and winter entertaining or a cozy weeknight treat.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe but firm pears (such as Bosc or Anjou)
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil or butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional toppings: chopped nuts, granola, Greek yogurt, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the pears in half lengthwise and use a spoon to scoop out the seeds and core.
  3. Arrange the pear halves cut side up in a baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, melted coconut oil (or butter), vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  5. Spoon the mixture evenly over the pears.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the pears are tender and caramelized.
  7. Serve warm with your choice of toppings like yogurt, granola, or ice cream.

Notes

  • Use firm-ripe pears so they hold their shape when baked.
  • Customize with your favorite toppings—nuts, granola, or dairy-free alternatives.
  • For extra flavor, add a splash of bourbon or sprinkle of nutmeg to the sauce mixture.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge and reheated gently before serving.
