Description
These Skillet Cajun Chicken Bites are juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection in a cast iron skillet. They’re quick to make, packed with Cajun spices, and perfect as a main dish or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and pat dry with a paper towel.
- In a medium bowl, toss the chicken with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well coated.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet in a single layer. Do not overcrowd.
- Cook the chicken for 4–5 minutes on one side without moving it to get a good sear.
- Flip the chicken and cook for another 4–5 minutes until fully cooked and browned.
- Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
- Make sure the skillet is hot before adding chicken to get a good sear.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan – cook in batches if necessary.
- Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste if you prefer more or less heat.
- These bites pair well with rice, veggies, or dipping sauces.
