Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and stir until well combined.
  4. Stir in the baking soda and salt.
  5. Gradually add the flour, mixing until just incorporated.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
  7. Spread the dough into a 10-inch cast-iron skillet in an even layer.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is just set.
  9. Allow the cookie to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
