Description

This Slow Cooker Swiss Steak is a hearty and comforting dish made with tenderized round steak cooked in a rich tomato and vegetable sauce. It’s an easy dump-and-go slow cooker meal perfect for busy weeknights or a cozy family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds round steak, tenderized and cut into portions
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Season the steak pieces with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Place the steak in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Add diced onion and green bell pepper over the steak.
  4. Pour in the diced tomatoes, cream of mushroom soup, and beef broth.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or until the steak is tender.
  6. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

Notes

  • This dish goes great with mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
  • For a thicker sauce, you can remove the lid during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
