Description

This Smashburger Quesadilla is a delicious fusion of a juicy smash-style cheeseburger and a crispy quesadilla. It’s packed with flavor, easy to make, and perfect for a satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 dill pickle, chopped (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Divide the ground beef into two equal balls.
  3. Place each beef ball on the skillet and smash it flat using a spatula. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes per side or until crispy and cooked through.
  5. Remove the patties and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add a bit of butter or oil.
  7. Place one tortilla in the skillet, sprinkle half the cheese evenly on one half, add the cooked beef patty, onions, sauce (mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard), and optional pickles.
  8. Top with more cheese and fold the tortilla over to form a half-moon shape.
  9. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden and crispy and cheese is melted.
  10. Repeat for the second quesadilla.
  11. Slice and serve warm.

  • Customize with your favorite burger toppings like jalapeños, tomatoes, or bacon.
