- 70 ml water (lukewarm)
- 7 g instant yeast
- 12 g honey
- 400 g all-purpose flour
- 7 g salt
- 30 g unsalted butter (room temperature)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Stir the yeast into the lukewarm milk, water, and honey. Let it rest until foamy.

- Divide the dough into 10 pieces and shape into balls. Add filling if desired.
- Let the shaped dough rest for 30–40 minutes until puffy.
- Heat oil to 175°C (350°F). Fry the buns in small batches until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve plain, dusted with sugar, or filled.
Notes
- You can fill the buns with jam, chocolate, or savory fillings before frying.
- Ensure oil temperature stays consistent to avoid greasy buns.
- Best enjoyed fresh, but can be reheated briefly in an oven.
- Dust with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar for extra flavor.
