Description

These Softbatch Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies are ultra-soft, chewy, and rich with the addition of cream cheese, giving them a tender and indulgent texture packed with melty chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden and centers are set.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Do not overbake — cookies should look slightly underdone when removed from the oven for a soft texture.
  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes if you prefer thicker cookies.
