Description

These spicy chili garlic noodles are a quick and flavorful Asian-inspired dish made with simple ingredients like soy sauce, chili paste, and garlic. Perfect for a weeknight meal, they come together in just 15 minutes and are naturally vegan.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz rice noodles
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce (or more to taste)
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sriracha (optional, for extra heat)
  • 1 scallion, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pan, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, maple syrup, chili garlic sauce, rice vinegar, and sriracha (if using). Mix well.
  5. Add cooked noodles to the sauce and toss until fully coated and heated through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with scallions, sesame seeds, and cilantro if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust spice level by adding more or less chili garlic sauce or sriracha.
  • Add vegetables or tofu for extra protein and nutrition.
  • Use tamari instead of soy sauce for a gluten-free version.
