Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped maraschino cherries
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pistachio nuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture.
- Fold in the chopped maraschino cherries, chocolate chips, and pistachios.
- Drop dough by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
