Description
Strawberry Kiss Cookies are soft, chewy cookies made with strawberry cake mix and topped with a Hershey’s Kiss. They’re fruity, colorful, and easy to make—perfect for holidays, parties, or gifting.
Ingredients
- 1 box strawberry cake mix (about 15.25 oz)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
- 24 Hershey’s Kisses (milk chocolate or preferred variety)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
- Roll each dough ball in powdered sugar until fully coated.
- Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops are slightly cracked.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Do not microwave cookies with the Kiss on top; the chocolate may melt unevenly.
- Store with a slice of bread in the container to keep cookies soft.
- You can prepare the dough ahead and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours.
- Try different Kiss flavors or add white chocolate chips for variation.
- Use gluten-free cake mix for a gluten-free version.
