Description

Strawberry Kiss Cookies are soft, chewy cookies made with strawberry cake mix and topped with a Hershey’s Kiss. They’re fruity, colorful, and easy to make—perfect for holidays, parties, or gifting.


Ingredients

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix (about 15.25 oz)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
  • 24 Hershey’s Kisses (milk chocolate or preferred variety)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
  4. Roll each dough ball in powdered sugar until fully coated.
  5. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops are slightly cracked.
  7. Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Do not microwave cookies with the Kiss on top; the chocolate may melt unevenly.
  • Store with a slice of bread in the container to keep cookies soft.
  • You can prepare the dough ahead and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours.
  • Try different Kiss flavors or add white chocolate chips for variation.
  • Use gluten-free cake mix for a gluten-free version.
