Description
A refreshing and sweet strawberry latte made with fresh strawberries, milk, and optional espresso or tea. Perfect for summer and easy to prepare at home.
Ingredients
- 1 cup strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 cup milk (any kind)
- 1/2 cup brewed espresso or black tea (optional)
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine strawberries, sugar, and water.
- Cook for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the strawberries break down and form a syrup.
- Use a blender or immersion blender to puree the mixture until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve if desired for a smoother texture.
- Let the strawberry syrup cool to room temperature or chill in the refrigerator.
- To assemble the latte, fill a glass with ice.
- Add 2–4 tablespoons of strawberry syrup, depending on your sweetness preference.
- Pour in milk.
- Add espresso or tea if using. Stir to combine and enjoy!
Notes
- Use plant-based milk for a dairy-free version.
- Adjust sweetness by using more or less strawberry syrup.
- For a smoother latte, strain the syrup before adding to the drink.
- The strawberry syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.
