Description

Strawberry Sorbet is a light, refreshing, and fruity frozen dessert made with fresh strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water. It’s naturally vegan and dairy-free, perfect for hot days or as a palate cleanser.

Ingredients

4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly and remove the stems.
  2. In a blender or food processor, combine the strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into a bowl and refrigerate for 1-2 hours to chill.
  4. Transfer the chilled mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (about 20-30 minutes).
  5. Once thickened to a soft-serve consistency, transfer to a container and freeze for 2-3 more hours until firm.
  6. Scoop and serve in bowls or cones.

Notes

  1. Add a few fresh mint leaves for a refreshing twist.
  2. Mix in other berries like raspberries or blueberries for variation.
  3. Use honey, agave, or stevia as sugar alternatives.
  4. Lime juice can replace lemon juice for a tangy, tropical flavor.
  5. If too firm after freezing, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping.
