Description

These adorable Sugar Cookie Chicks are a fun and festive Easter treat made with soft sugar cookies, yellow frosting, and simple decorations to resemble cute baby chicks. Perfect for baking with kids or as a spring-themed dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 package refrigerated sugar cookie dough (or homemade)
  • Yellow frosting (store-bought or homemade)
  • Mini chocolate chips (for eyes)
  • Orange Starburst candies (for beaks and feet)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven according to the sugar cookie dough package instructions (typically 350°F / 175°C).
  2. Slice or roll the sugar cookie dough into rounds and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake the cookies as directed, usually 8–10 minutes, until lightly golden. Let cool completely.
  4. Frost each cookie with yellow frosting to fully cover the top.
  5. Place two mini chocolate chips on each cookie for eyes.
  6. Cut small triangles from orange Starburst candies to make beaks, and press one onto each cookie.
  7. Optional: Cut small pieces from the Starburst to create feet and press at the bottom of each cookie.
