Description

Tandoori Chicken Garlic Bread is a flavorful fusion dish featuring spiced, juicy tandoori chicken layered over buttery garlic bread and baked until golden and melty. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or party dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread
  • 2 cups cooked tandoori chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onions
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Add shredded tandoori chicken and toss until well coated.
  3. Slice the bread in half lengthwise and place on the prepared tray.
  4. In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, and olive oil. Spread evenly over both halves of the bread.
  5. Distribute the tandoori chicken mixture evenly over the bread halves.
  6. Top with sliced red onions and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden.
  8. Remove from the oven, slice into portions, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken tossed in tandoori masala as a shortcut.
  • Add green chilies for extra heat.
  • Substitute mozzarella with a blend of cheddar and mozzarella for more flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat in the oven for best texture.
