Tandoori Chicken Garlic Bread is a flavorful fusion dish featuring spiced, juicy tandoori chicken layered over buttery garlic bread and baked until golden and melty. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or party dish.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread
- 2 cups cooked tandoori chicken, shredded
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onions
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Add shredded tandoori chicken and toss until well coated.
- Slice the bread in half lengthwise and place on the prepared tray.
- In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, and olive oil. Spread evenly over both halves of the bread.
- Distribute the tandoori chicken mixture evenly over the bread halves.
- Top with sliced red onions and shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden.
- Remove from the oven, slice into portions, and serve warm.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken tossed in tandoori masala as a shortcut.
- Add green chilies for extra heat.
- Substitute mozzarella with a blend of cheddar and mozzarella for more flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat in the oven for best texture.
