Description

This easy Tater Tot Casserole is a comforting and delicious family-friendly dinner made with ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, cheese, and crispy tater tots. It’s perfect for busy weeknights or make-ahead meals.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until beef is browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
  6. Top evenly with frozen tater tots.
  7. Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes or until tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

  • Swap ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
