Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until beef is browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
- Top evenly with frozen tater tots.
- Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes or until tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Swap ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- Add frozen vegetables like peas or green beans for extra nutrition.
- You can use different types of cheese for variation, such as mozzarella or pepper jack.
