Description
These easy Ranch Chicken Breasts are juicy, flavorful, and made with just a few pantry ingredients. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner, they come together in under 30 minutes and are cooked in a skillet for a golden, crispy crust.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2 pounds)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and pound them to an even thickness if needed.
- Rub the chicken with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and ranch seasoning on both sides.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter.
- Once the butter is melted and sizzling, add the chicken breasts to the skillet in a single layer.
- Cook for 5 to 7 minutes on one side without moving, until a golden crust forms.
- Flip the chicken and cook for another 5 to 7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the skillet and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- Pounding the chicken helps it cook evenly and prevents dryness.
- Don’t move the chicken while it’s searing to get a proper golden crust.
- Use homemade ranch seasoning for a more natural flavor.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
