Description

A rich and decadent chocolate cake swirled with creamy peanut butter and topped with a smooth chocolate ganache. Perfect for any indulgent occasion or special gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions using the eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat together the peanut butter, softened cream cheese, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and melted butter, mixing until fully combined.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the cake batter. Use a knife to gently swirl the mixture into the batter for a marbled effect.
  5. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the edges are set and lightly browned while the center remains slightly gooey.
  6. To make the ganache, heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer. Pour it over the chocolate chips and let sit for 5 minutes. Stir until smooth and glossy.
  7. Spread the ganache evenly over the warm cake. Allow the cake to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For cleaner slices, allow the cake to cool completely before cutting.
  • Store leftovers covered at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
  • You can use dark chocolate chips for a richer ganache flavor.
  • Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent dessert.
