Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions using the eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, beat together the peanut butter, softened cream cheese, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and melted butter, mixing until fully combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the cake batter. Use a knife to gently swirl the mixture into the batter for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the edges are set and lightly browned while the center remains slightly gooey.
- To make the ganache, heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer. Pour it over the chocolate chips and let sit for 5 minutes. Stir until smooth and glossy.
- Spread the ganache evenly over the warm cake. Allow the cake to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

- For cleaner slices, allow the cake to cool completely before cutting.
- Store leftovers covered at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
- You can use dark chocolate chips for a richer ganache flavor.
