Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semisweet or dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chunks or chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Add the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar to the bananas. Mix until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chunks, and white chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 55 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
