Description

This Turkish pasta is a comforting dish featuring tender pasta topped with garlicky yogurt and a rich spiced butter sauce. It’s quick to make and packed with bold, savory flavors.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (such as farfalle or shells)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix yogurt with minced garlic and a pinch of salt. Stir until smooth.
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in a small pan over medium heat until melted.
  4. Add paprika and red pepper flakes to the butter mixture and cook briefly until fragrant.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta with salt and pepper, then transfer to serving bowls.
  6. Spoon the garlic yogurt over the pasta.
  7. Drizzle the spiced butter sauce on top.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use Greek yogurt for a thicker and creamier texture.
  • Add cooked ground beef or lentils for extra protein.
  • Adjust spice level by increasing or reducing red pepper flakes.
