Description
This refreshing homemade watermelon juice is naturally sweet, hydrating, and incredibly easy to make with just one ingredient—fresh watermelon! Perfect for hot summer days or as a healthy beverage option.
Ingredients
- 1 small ripe watermelon (about 6 pounds), chilled if possible
Instructions
- Slice the watermelon in half. Using a large spoon, scoop the watermelon flesh into a blender, discarding the rind.
- Blend the watermelon until it’s totally pulverized. This shouldn’t take more than a minute.
- If your watermelon is seeded, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove the seeds and excess pulp. If it’s seedless, straining is optional.
- Chill in the refrigerator if desired, or serve immediately over ice. Stir before serving, as it may separate over time.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lime or a few mint leaves while blending.
- Best consumed within 2 days for optimal freshness.
- You can freeze leftover juice into popsicles or ice cubes.
