Description

This refreshing homemade watermelon juice is naturally sweet, hydrating, and incredibly easy to make with just one ingredient—fresh watermelon! Perfect for hot summer days or as a healthy beverage option.

Ingredients

  • 1 small ripe watermelon (about 6 pounds), chilled if possible

Instructions

  1. Slice the watermelon in half. Using a large spoon, scoop the watermelon flesh into a blender, discarding the rind.
  2. Blend the watermelon until it’s totally pulverized. This shouldn’t take more than a minute.
  3. If your watermelon is seeded, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove the seeds and excess pulp. If it’s seedless, straining is optional.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator if desired, or serve immediately over ice. Stir before serving, as it may separate over time.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lime or a few mint leaves while blending.
  • Best consumed within 2 days for optimal freshness.
  • You can freeze leftover juice into popsicles or ice cubes.
