Description

This refreshing watermelon slushie is icy, naturally sweet, and perfect for hot days. Made with frozen watermelon and fresh lime juice, it comes together quickly in the blender.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups watermelon, cubed
  • Juice of 2 limes

Instructions

  1. Spread the cubed watermelon onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for at least 4 hours. If freezing overnight, transfer the frozen watermelon cubes to a freezer-safe bag.
  2. Allow the frozen watermelon to thaw slightly for a few minutes before blending.
  3. Add the frozen watermelon and lime juice to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and slushie-like. If needed, let the watermelon thaw for another 5 to 10 minutes to help blending.
  4. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra sweetness, use a very ripe watermelon.
  • Add fresh mint leaves for a refreshing twist.
  • Serve immediately for the best slushie texture.
  • You can freeze leftovers into popsicle molds.
