Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons chopped green bell pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped tomato
- 2 tablespoons shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a small bowl, beat the eggs with milk, salt, and pepper.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and green bell pepper, and cook until tender, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped tomato and cook for an additional 1 minute.
- Pour the egg mixture into the skillet with the vegetables. Tilt the pan to spread the eggs evenly.
- Cook without stirring for about 2 minutes or until the bottom is set.
- Sprinkle the cheese over one half of the omelet. Fold the other half over the cheese.
- Continue cooking for 1–2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the omelet is cooked through.
- Slide onto a plate and serve immediately.
