Description

This Air Fryer Pizza Garlic Bread is crispy, cheesy, and loaded with savory mushroom pizza topping. A quick and flavorful snack or appetizer made easily in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or any neutral cooking oil
  • 23 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • ¾ cup thinly sliced mushrooms
  • ½ teaspoon all purpose flour / maida
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons pizza sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • ½ loaf french bread
  • ¼ cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons black olives, sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the garlic for a few seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add mushrooms and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add all purpose flour and sauté continuously for 1 minute until the raw smell disappears. Do not overcook.
  4. Pour in the milk and whisk continuously for 2-3 minutes until smooth and slightly thickened.
  5. Add pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, and salt. Cook for 1-2 minutes, then remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 190°C.
  7. Slice the french bread vertically into two halves. Spread the prepared filling evenly over both halves.
  8. Top with mozzarella cheese and sliced black olives.
  9. Place the bread halves in the air fryer with the topping side facing up and air fry at 190°C for 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts and the bread becomes crisp.
  10. Slice into serving portions and serve warm.

Notes

  • Cooking times may vary depending on the air fryer model, so monitor closely to avoid burning.
  • You can substitute mushrooms with bell peppers, onions, or corn for variation.
  • Serve immediately for the crispiest texture.
  • Use whole wheat bread for a healthier option.
