Description

Juicy Mediterranean-spiced chicken burgers packed with flavor and topped with fresh veggies and creamy garlic aioli. A quick and satisfying meal perfect for any night of the week.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup dried bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt
  • 1 small yellow onion, grated
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Urfa Biber or red pepper flakes
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 burger buns or lettuce wraps
  • Garlic aioli
  • Romaine lettuce
  • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine ground chicken, 1/4 cup bread crumbs, Greek yogurt, grated onion, Italian seasoning, and Urfa Biber. Add about 1 tablespoon olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and mix until well combined.
  2. Place remaining 1/4 cup bread crumbs on a plate. Divide mixture into 4 portions, roll into balls, coat lightly in bread crumbs, and flatten into patties about 3/4-inch thick.
  3. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add about 2 teaspoons olive oil. Cook patties for 4 to 5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook another 3 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  4. Spread garlic aioli on buns, add chicken patties, lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion. Assemble and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use gluten-free bread crumbs and lettuce wraps for a gluten-free option.
  • Adjust spice level by increasing or reducing the pepper flakes.
  • Ensure patties are fully cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Serve with a side of fries, salad, or roasted vegetables.
