Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup dried bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt
- 1 small yellow onion, grated
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon Urfa Biber or red pepper flakes
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 4 burger buns or lettuce wraps
- Garlic aioli
- Romaine lettuce
- 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
- 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine ground chicken, 1/4 cup bread crumbs, Greek yogurt, grated onion, Italian seasoning, and Urfa Biber. Add about 1 tablespoon olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and mix until well combined.
- Place remaining 1/4 cup bread crumbs on a plate. Divide mixture into 4 portions, roll into balls, coat lightly in bread crumbs, and flatten into patties about 3/4-inch thick.
- Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add about 2 teaspoons olive oil. Cook patties for 4 to 5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook another 3 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Spread garlic aioli on buns, add chicken patties, lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion. Assemble and serve immediately.

- Use gluten-free bread crumbs and lettuce wraps for a gluten-free option.
- Adjust spice level by increasing or reducing the pepper flakes.
