Description

These Big Mac Burger Bowls are a healthier twist on the classic fast-food favorite, packed with seasoned turkey, crispy fries, fresh vegetables, and a creamy tangy dressing. Perfect for an easy and satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 lb lean ground turkey meat
  • 1.5 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup cooked brown lentils, optional
  • 1 tbsp low sugar BBQ sauce, optional
  • 3 tbsp plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise or additional yogurt
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp pickle juice
  • 3 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 medium yellow potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tbsp desired spices
  • 4 cups romaine lettuce, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup pickles, sliced
  • 1 cup white onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Dice the potatoes and place them in a large mixing bowl. Toss with olive oil and desired spices until evenly coated. Add to an air fryer basket and cook at 400°F for about 15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until crispy.
  2. Heat cooking oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey, paprika, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until browned and fully cooked through.
  3. If using lentils, stir them into the cooked turkey along with the BBQ sauce. Lightly mash the lentils with a spatula to combine well. Remove from heat.
  4. In a small bowl or mason jar, whisk together the Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, apple cider vinegar, paprika, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  5. In a large serving bowl, combine the romaine lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onion, cheddar cheese, cooked turkey mixture, and fries.
  6. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine before serving.

Notes

  • Ground beef or chicken can be substituted for turkey.
  • For a lower-carb option, skip the fries or replace potatoes with roasted cauliflower.
  • The dressing can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Add sesame seeds on top for extra burger flavor.
