Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 200 g granulated sugar
- 120 ml vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 100 g walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan.
- Mash the bananas in a bowl until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Add the mashed bananas to the wet mixture and stir well.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the walnuts if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and sweetness.
- You can substitute walnuts with chocolate chips or omit them entirely.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- This cake can be frozen for longer storage.
