Description

This creamy chocolate frozen yogurt is rich, chocolatey, and easy to make with just a handful of ingredients. Customize it with nut butter or your favorite mix-ins for an extra indulgent frozen treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups plain yogurt (dairy-free works too)
  • 1/2 cup Dutch or regular cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sweetener of choice
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1/3 cup peanut butter or almond butter
  • Optional add-ins: chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or 1 mashed banana

Instructions

  1. Add the yogurt, cocoa powder, salt, sweetener, vanilla extract, and optional nut butter to a large bowl or blender.
  2. Mix or blend until completely smooth and well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to an ice cream machine and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, or pour into a chilled airtight container.
  4. If using a container, freeze and stir every 30 minutes for 2 to 3 hours until creamy and frozen.
  5. Serve immediately for the creamiest texture. If frozen solid, let thaw for about 15 minutes before serving.
