Description

This crispy air fryer tofu is perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. It’s golden brown on the outside, tender inside, and makes a delicious plant-based main or protein topping.


Ingredients

  • 1 block extra firm tofu
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp arrowroot powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu for at least 30 minutes to remove excess moisture using a tofu press or by placing it between towels with a heavy object on top.
  2. Cut the tofu into bite-size pieces and place them in a large bowl.
  3. Add the avocado oil and sesame oil, then toss to coat.
  4. Add the arrowroot powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until the tofu is evenly coated.
  5. Arrange the tofu in an even layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry at 400F for 16-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve immediately.

  • For extra crispiness, avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
  • Serve over rice, salads, or noodles for a complete meal.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
