Ingredients
- 250 g butter, at room temperature
- 150 g granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 400 g all-purpose flour

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line baking trays with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Shape the dough into small cookies or desired shapes and place them on the prepared trays.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the cookies are golden and crisp.
- Remove from the oven and allow them to cool completely before serving.
