Description

These Crispy Chicken Caesar Sliders combine crunchy breaded chicken with creamy homemade Caesar dressing and fresh romaine lettuce on toasted buns. Perfect for an easy dinner, game day snack, or crowd-pleasing lunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works best)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying (or olive oil spray if using an air fryer)
  • 4 medium buns (or 68 small slider buns)
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 2 tbsp finely grated parmesan cheese
  • 2/3 cup good-quality mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (or 1 anchovy fillet, finely mashed)
  • 1/4 cup finely grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Slice each chicken breast horizontally to create thinner cutlets, then cut into slider-sized pieces. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Prepare a breading station with flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third. Coat each piece of chicken in flour, then egg, repeat the flour and egg coating once more, and finally coat in breadcrumbs, pressing lightly so the coating sticks.
  3. Fry the chicken in hot oil over medium heat for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Alternatively, spray with olive oil and air fry at 200°C (400°F) for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes.
  4. To make the Caesar dressing, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic in a bowl. Add lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce or mashed anchovy, then mix until smooth. Stir in the grated parmesan cheese until creamy and fully combined.
  5. Toss the chopped romaine lettuce with 2 tbsp of the Caesar dressing and 2 tbsp parmesan cheese until evenly coated.
  6. Slice the buns in half and toast cut-side down in a dry pan until golden brown. Spread Caesar dressing on the bottom halves, then top with crispy chicken and Caesar salad.
  7. Sprinkle with extra parmesan cheese if desired, close the sliders, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Panko breadcrumbs give the crispiest texture for the chicken.
  • For a lighter option, use the air fryer method instead of frying.
  • Store leftover Caesar dressing in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Serve with fries, chips, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
