Description
Deviled strawberries are a sweet, bite-sized dessert featuring fresh strawberries filled with a creamy cheesecake mixture and topped with a crunchy strawberry crumble.
Ingredients
- 12 to 15 large fresh strawberries (rinsed, patted dry, and cut into halves)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar, sifted
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 6 golden Oreo cookies, finely crushed
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons strawberry flavored gelatin powder
Instructions
- Rinse strawberries under cool water, pat dry thoroughly, remove stems, and slice in half lengthwise. Arrange cut-side up on a serving platter.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese with a handheld mixer on medium speed for 1–2 minutes until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and mix on low until incorporated. Add heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt, then beat another 1–2 minutes until light and creamy.
- Spoon or pipe about 1 1/2 teaspoons of filling onto each strawberry half.
- Prepare the topping: Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pulse golden Oreo cookies in a food processor until finely crushed and transfer to a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter with strawberry gelatin powder until combined.
- Stir the gelatin mixture into the cookie crumbs until evenly coated.
- Spread crumbs onto the baking sheet in a thin layer and bake for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden. Cool completely.
- Sprinkle the cooled strawberry crunch topping over the filled strawberries and serve.
Notes
- The strawberry crunch topping is optional but adds texture and flavor.
- Use a piping bag for a more decorative presentation.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Ensure strawberries are fully dry before filling to prevent sogginess.
