Description

This creamy dill pickle cheese ball is packed with tangy pickles, savory bacon, and sharp cheddar for the perfect party appetizer. Serve it chilled with crackers and fresh veggies for an easy crowd-pleasing snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 (5.2 ounce) packages Boursin Fine Herbs & Garlic cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, finely shredded
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped dill
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Splash of pickle juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 3 pieces thick cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped dill (for topping)
  • 3 pieces thick cut bacon, cooked and crumbled into tiny pieces (for topping)
  • 1/3 cup toasted pecans, finely chopped
  • Extra dill pickle chips for serving
  • 1 sleeve crackers, for serving
  • Celery sticks, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the Boursin cheese, chopped dill pickles, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, shredded cheddar cheese, fresh dill, pickle juice, and crumbled bacon until smooth and well combined.
  2. Transfer the mixture onto plastic wrap, wrap tightly, and shape into a ball.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to overnight until firm.
  4. Combine the topping dill, bacon, and chopped pecans, then press evenly onto the chilled cheese ball.
  5. Serve with crackers, celery sticks, or fresh vegetables. Top individual crackers with pickle chips if desired.

Notes

  • Chilling is important because Boursin cheese is softer than cream cheese.
  • For extra crunch, add additional toasted pecans to the coating.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Ritz crackers work well because they are sturdy enough for spreading.
