Description

These eggless chocolate chip cookie brownies combine a rich fudgy brownie base with a soft chocolate chip cookie layer for the ultimate dessert bar. Perfectly chewy, chocolatey, and easy to make for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar for the brownie layer. Stir in milk and vanilla extract.
  3. Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until combined, then fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  5. In another bowl, cream softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar for the cookie layer.
  6. Mix in milk and vanilla extract. Add flour, baking soda, and salt, stirring until a soft dough forms. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over the brownie batter and gently spread without fully covering the surface.
  8. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the cookie layer is golden and the center is just set.
  9. Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars and serving.

Notes

  • For extra gooey bars, slightly underbake and let them set while cooling.
  • You can use dark chocolate chips for a richer flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an indulgent dessert.
