Description

A delicious twist on classic French toast made with fluffy tsoureki and cooked in the air fryer, served with a rich chocolate sauce. Perfect for a quick, indulgent breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices tsoureki (sweet bread)
  • 2 eggs
  • 120 ml milk
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Butter or oil spray for greasing
  • 100 g chocolate
  • 100 ml heavy cream

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
  2. Dip each slice of tsoureki into the mixture, ensuring both sides are soaked but not falling apart.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C.
  4. Lightly grease the air fryer basket with butter or oil spray.
  5. Place the soaked slices into the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. For the chocolate sauce, heat the cream in a small saucepan until warm but not boiling.
  8. Remove from heat and add the chocolate, stirring until smooth and fully melted.
  9. Serve the French toast warm, drizzled with chocolate sauce.

Notes

  • You can substitute tsoureki with brioche or challah bread.
  • Add powdered sugar or fresh fruit for extra flavor.
  • Adjust cinnamon to taste or omit if preferred.
