Flavorful salmon patties infused with harissa and bright orange zest, pan-seared until crisp and served tender inside.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cooked salmon, flaked
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons harissa paste
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, harissa paste, orange zest, orange juice, parsley, green onions, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into evenly sized patties, about 2–3 inches wide.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the patties and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and heated through.
  5. Remove from the skillet and drain briefly on paper towels.
  6. Serve warm with your choice of sauce or side.
