Description
A smooth and creamy homemade almond butter made with simple ingredients and roasted almonds for enhanced flavor. Perfect for spreading, drizzling, or adding to your favorite recipes.
Ingredients
- 3 cups raw almonds
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Add the almonds to a baking sheet and roast for 10 minutes to help release their natural oils.
- Transfer the roasted almonds to a food processor and blend on high.
- Pause to scrape down the sides as needed. The mixture will go through stages from powdery to clumpy before becoming smooth.
- Continue blending for 15–20 minutes until the mixture becomes creamy and smooth.
- Add the vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt, then blend again until fully incorporated.
- Taste and adjust flavors if desired. Transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Be patient during blending; the almonds will eventually release oils and become creamy.
- For extra flavor, try adding a touch of honey or maple syrup.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 2–3 weeks.
- Stir before use if natural oil separation occurs.
