Description

A comforting leftover turkey sandwich layered with cranberry sauce, gravy, and a fried egg on toasted brioche buns. Perfect for turning holiday leftovers into a hearty meal.

Ingredients

  • 34 servings of leftover roast turkey (sliced, about 34 slices per person)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 12 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 brioche buns (or 8 slices of thick bread of your choice)
  • Unsalted butter (for toasting)
  • Leftover cranberry sauce
  • Leftover turkey gravy
  • Shredded lettuce
  • 4 fried eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F.
  2. Place the sliced roast turkey on foil, add butter, garlic, and a pinch of salt on top, then wrap tightly.
  3. Place the foil parcel on a sheet pan and heat in the oven for about 15 minutes, or until warmed through.
  4. Remove from oven and increase temperature to 350°F.
  5. Split the brioche buns, spread with butter, and place cut side up on a sheet pan. Toast until lightly crisp on the edges.
  6. Spread cranberry sauce on the top bun.
  7. Layer turkey slices on the bottom bun, add shredded lettuce, and spoon gravy over the top.
  8. Add a fried egg and close with the top bun. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute brioche with any sturdy bread like sourdough or ciabatta.
  • Warm the gravy separately before assembling for best flavor.
  • Add cheese like Swiss or cheddar for extra richness.
  • Serve components separately for a build-your-own sandwich option.
