Description
A comforting leftover turkey sandwich layered with cranberry sauce, gravy, and a fried egg on toasted brioche buns. Perfect for turning holiday leftovers into a hearty meal.
Ingredients
- 3 – 4 servings of leftover roast turkey (sliced, about 3 – 4 slices per person)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 – 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- Pinch of salt
- 4 brioche buns (or 8 slices of thick bread of your choice)
- Unsalted butter (for toasting)
- Leftover cranberry sauce
- Leftover turkey gravy
- Shredded lettuce
- 4 fried eggs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F.
- Place the sliced roast turkey on foil, add butter, garlic, and a pinch of salt on top, then wrap tightly.
- Place the foil parcel on a sheet pan and heat in the oven for about 15 minutes, or until warmed through.
- Remove from oven and increase temperature to 350°F.
- Split the brioche buns, spread with butter, and place cut side up on a sheet pan. Toast until lightly crisp on the edges.
- Spread cranberry sauce on the top bun.
- Layer turkey slices on the bottom bun, add shredded lettuce, and spoon gravy over the top.
- Add a fried egg and close with the top bun. Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute brioche with any sturdy bread like sourdough or ciabatta.
- Warm the gravy separately before assembling for best flavor.
- Add cheese like Swiss or cheddar for extra richness.
