Description

These Magic Cookie Bars are rich, chewy dessert bars layered with chocolate, coconut, and pecans over a buttery graham cracker crust. Sweetened condensed milk ties everything together for a decadent treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups honey or chocolate graham crackers (crushed into crumbs, about 16 full sheets)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup salted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup shredded sweet coconut
  • 3/4 cup pecans (chopped)
  • 1 2/3 cups sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8×8 baking dish and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed graham crackers, vanilla extract, light brown sugar, and melted butter. Stir until evenly mixed.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking dish to form an even crust layer.
  4. Sprinkle one-third of the chocolate chips, coconut, and pecans over the crust. Repeat layering two more times.
  5. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the coconut and edges are lightly browned.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use a flat-bottomed glass or measuring cup to firmly press the crust.
  • Let the bars cool fully for cleaner slices.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • You can substitute walnuts for pecans if desired.
